6. I always thought that he was the world's greatest liar. |
|
He has complete contempt for most of us. When he replies, "So?" to what most Americans think, along with dozens of other instances, the proof is beyond doubt. At the same time, he controls his own finances like a ring master, at the expense of the country's. He is not unhinged. He is evil.

an undercover CIA agent and her entire operation. Hanging is too good, and by his own standards, torture is acceptable. Extraordinary rendition would also be appropriate. Lying scumbags and war profiteers are in essence anti American.

12. At first I thought "he's a paranoid" for sure. |
|
Then Rachael pointed out how this will be a great way to say, "I told you so" if there is another attack, and attempt to prove that the Republicans are better at keeping us safe. Whether the people would buy that is the question. But he apparently thinks it's a good way to bring the Democrats back down.

20. This is an old psychic trick. |

"Swing for the seats," predict something big. If it doesn't come true, everybody will forget you said it. BUT, if it does happen, you claim to have foreseen it clearly, and aren't you just the smartest, bestest psychic ever?

16. I've always opted for the pathological liar interpretation |
|
Of course, I don't know Dick Cheney personally.
On the other hand, his penchant for repeating falsehoods long after they've been refuted does have something of the unhinged about it.
Perhaps a psychological evaluation would be in order when he is arrested for war crimes.

The attacks on Sept. 11, 2001 happened on BUSH and CHENEY'S watch because THEY were NOT PAYING ATTENTION to the few FBI people who tried to warn everybody. The CIA and the FBI were both crippled by bureaucratic infighting at the time. Instead of firing those at the top of the agencies after the attacks, Bush did a quick CYA and increased the budgets and promoted the wrong people. Bush and Cheney were incompetent from day one. This stupidity was later reenforced by flat-out evil in order to jam the whole program down the throats of gullible Americans. :puke:

But I'd settle for him taking up residence in a high-security federal prison instead.
Probably should go to bed now -- I'm accumulating bad karma by thinking about that turd.

21. Closing Guantanamo does not mean you are "releasing Al Qaeda terrorists." |
|
Detainees will go to regular prisons where their rights will be respected as far as representation, trial, and the ability to confront witnesses. In other words, the innocent get a chance to win release. The guilty get convicted.
Cheney is just trying to reinforce the lie that the Bush administration "kept America safe." Look at the numbers. Look at what actually happened on their watch. This was the LEAST safe America has been in decades. They allowed the largest terrorist attack in history on their watch. They started two wars that cost more American lives than that terrorist attack. They turned a sympathetic and supportive world after 9/11 into a hostile world. Even our closest and oldest allies refused to go along with us on Iraq. And did they make the Arab world less likely to attack us? Hell, no. Hell. NO.

25. No, his is a fixed delusion complex, beginning early in life, called Republicanism. |
|
This is what happens when a society is fed propaganda from before conception onwards, is reared by a robotic, one-eyed babysitter whose only function is propaganda, rewards those who believe it with cradle to grave material comfort (jobs in the police, armies, and bureaucracy with pensions), and assassinates, jails, tortures, bombs, kills, or marginalizes and prejudges those who deviate.
You get the ideal product of the design of the society, the perfect American cowboy ready to shoot the Indian first, and not ask questions for many centuries!
