In particular, Joe at the end just smirked at the idea of CIA collusion in cruel Latin American dictatorships. The facts just aren't things Joe will agree with.

Notice how Mika acted like somebody said a bad word when the truth is told. Two ostriches.

10. Did Joey laugh about being drowned ? |
|
Actually Hitchens wasn't saying anything outrages and should have gone a lot farther , because saying " one uses crime too cheaply " is absurd , bcs if is drowning , which it is , IT'S still A CRIME and everybody involved should be prosecuted . From medical people i have heard say , the Lungs , the throat, and mind react the SAME exact way as drowning , it's drowning . And their reaction to the CIA involvement in South America was repulsive , it's a well know fact , the CIA taught torture, created a manual that surfaced , and the Generals and other dictators were supported by the CIA , while they kidnapped , tortured and murdered hundreds of thousands , read about El Salvador , but Joe and his side kick are apologist for U.S. foreign policy , like most in the main stream media , they'll LIE & misinform the public , because those kind of statements satisfy the puppet masters .

13. Scarborough was a dim-bulb conservative zealot.... |
|
even by the crappy standards of his 1994 "Republican Revolution" class. Never a surprise with him, but it is sort of odd that MSNBC would have taken him aboard.

22. I think her Dad is the problem. I suspect the guy was just a terrible father. |
|
He's very supercilious and while I like it when he treats Joe like the fool he is, I've seen him put his daughter down on that show and I just cringed...

that Christopher mentioned. Mainstream media never seem to wanna explore the CIA's roles in Latin American countries over the years.

7. surprised how he felt about that - thought it would be the opposite for some reason |
|
I hear so much negative stuff here about him, but both on this subject and on the issue of religion in government, I'll give him a star for each. Of course based on what I've encountered, not the full body of his opinions and discussions.

8. The C.I.A. would be concerned about Taliban detainees returning with a 9/11-style attack? |
|
From the way the C.I.A. has been conducting themselves in this matter, you'd have to believe they're banking on it.

when one has the intellect to back it up, and Hitchens does. His beating the drum for the Iraq War is another matter, and I reject his arguments there.

The CIA did miss the fall of the Soviet Union - and countless other intelligence failures some of which we know too well. I think one of their failings that he failed to mention is their ethnocentrism - their security clearance process is so strict that they can't entertain the thought of anyone who is non - right wing uber-fascist....no leftist thoughts for them. Ergo, their recruiting ground is material from the Young Republicans, etc. The movie The Good Shepherd captures the CIA persona very well - it's very elitist and waspish and unable to contemplate ideas outside of its own paradigm......

16. "We certainly differ..." |
|
What the hell were they talking about? What did he say that they differed with? Do those morons honestly not know what the CIA has been doing for the past 50 years?
Honestly, the entire history of that organization begs the question whose side they were on. And that's exactly the same question to be asking the bankers.
It is probably true that the bankers and CIA were on the same side most of the time, but that's not necessarily a good thing for America and Americans.

18. they don't want to bad mouth anyone who's job it is to protect the USA |
|
I think they truly believe that anyone who is a soldier, intelligence officer or border guard is incapable of thinking or performing evil or selfish acts. I mean, just statistically speaking, if you look at all the thousands of people employed to protect our country, surely SOME of them must be some variation of sadist, psycho or other villain. Hell I went to high school with enough future marines and infantry grunts to know that not everyone in uniform is beyond reproach.
And clearly Joe and Mike never read Dark Alliance or Confessions of an Economic Hitman. Not that they would believe what they were reading anyway.

19. One cannot perform torture for a living and not be sadistic. |
|
You just can't. You have to have the hardest of hearts to do that kind of shit. To listen to people screaming in agony and begging for mercy and then going ahead and hurting them worse takes a really cold motherfucker. I don't know where Joe Douchelips gets off disagreeing with that unassailable fact.
