I wouldn't have noticed it if the good Doctor hadn't pointed it out.
Let's see. Sectarian killings aren't down. Bombs and IEDs aren't down. US casualties aren't down.
But the surge is definitely working.
Yeah, makes sense to me.

Kagan was the main architect of the whole Iraq 'war' effort, wasn't he?
How do we really know what is going on in Iraq these days? I mean, the press can't really get in there much any more because it's too dangerous- and the military, the men and women fighting day to day can no longer get any commentary out that hasn't been cleared with a military public relations officer. All we have is the Administration's version, courtesy of General P, right?
