but had to quit as soon as the "uh-oh squad" began their "anal-ysis".

She did, indeed, handle herself very well.

40. Fox Spews
The "reporter" (not) in this piece said he just
wanted to ask Jeanine some "questions" about
"what she wanted" since "her party" had
all of the power, and EVEN a female speaker of the house. The
lying twit did not ask her any of the "questions."
This is a perfect example of why THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE should
be re-instated. It would do so much to improve the education
system in America and since these slimeballs insist on calling
themselves a "news" program, they would be required
to offer differing points of view. Let our citizens be
educated by exposing them to different view points. All
citizens own the airwaves, we lease them to succubi like
Murdoch. We deserve to exert some control of the lies that are
spewed on our airwaves. When Reagan had the FAIRNESS DOCTRINE
repealed, he said that "the programming of
"news" programs, should be controlled by the free
market." In other words, the truth was sold to the
highest bidder. The Fla. supreme court decided a few years
ago(under Jeb) that "news programs had no obligation to
truthful in their reporting." Man, we have to take our
country back...

29. Sean Hannity's stick is just not stop repetition of republican talking points
He did not bring any real news to the table, he did not offer any intellectual insight in the debate, he did not effectively counter any point made by Janeane Garofalo.

All Hannity did was insert memorized right wing talking points in at every opportunity. It is obvious Hannity is empty headed, he could be replaced with a tape recorder.

God I love this woman. She is so hot!

She is so smart. She totally turned this on the guy in an instant, and cleaned his clock. I am really surprised they showed the segment the guy looks so weak and inept. Of course it helps when her position is completely right, and the side trying to surprise her has an argument with no merit.

I wonder if he needed a ring pillow for the ride home?

9. Why didn't we see these protesters during Republican presidents Reagan, Ford, Nixon, or Eisenhower?
Edited on Mon May-11-09 11:45 PM by Liberal_Christian
Reagan had taxes at 50% for people making as low as $88,000(single) to $115,000(married) a year.

Ford had taxes at 70% for people making as low as $200,000 a year.

Nixon had taxes at 70% for people making as low as $200,000 a year.

Eisenhower had taxes at 90% for people making $400,000 a year and 75% for people making as low as $100,000 a year.

www.taxfoundation.org

ALL of these presidents were REPUBLICAN with the exception of Nixon who was Quaker but a G.O.P. endorsed conservative nonetheless.

Now Obama is getting protested because he is going to have taxes at 39% for people making $250,000 a year (DID I MENTION THAT STARTS IN 2011)

I don't know if these tea-baggers are racist but like most conservatives they obviously don't have any sense of history or civil obligation. It's also a bit peculiar as to why they've waited until NOW to protest.

Nixon was a Republican. He was a Quaker, too, but apparently not a good one. Good Quakers are pacifists. Nothing to do with taxes.

37. There are 3 different kinds of Quakers, and he was Evangelical
He wasn't really a "bad" Quaker, just one of the variety that is more aligned with Billy Graham and the Republicans than with the more-liberal and more pacifist East Coast Quakers. Quakerism becomes more conservative and main-stream Protestant Evangelical as you move West (that's a general rule, but there are some liberal congregations not on the East Coast)

34. As is always the case with Fox....
Edited on Tue May-12-09 06:25 AM by keitai
It's not the parts that you see that are telling, it is the parts that you don't. Anyone notice there were a few conveniently placed cut outs during that interview? I think around the 1:27 mark when she responds to the accusation that her remarks have gone unchallenged there was quite a conspicuous cut out, don't you think?
Though I think Janeane got it wrong as no one knew WTF they where protesting at those things. There were signs about abortion, gun rights, African Americans, gay rights and who knows what else. If it were merely about race, at least that would be a consistent, if not disgusting, theme.
I think Griff, if I may be so bold, is that most 'journalists' tend to give interview subjects a bit of a heads up before conducting interviews. 1) It makes for a better interview as both sides have usually done their homework and will give thoughtful answers (ah yes, this was aired on Fox...) 2) People tend to value their private time, you know when they are not working and they kind of want to relax. I doubt you would enjoy the tables being turned but since you are a Fox News Hatchet Man and won't contribute to anything that doesn't constitute gutter journalism, I doubt any one would waste their breath on you.
