1. I'll say! How are you going to get suicide bombers if they think they might be tortured? |

3. Why is he not behind bars? |
|
and why is he on television as if he has anything insightful to say?
Oh' nevermind. I know the answer. Dems in charge, Repugs in charge. Nobody pays for their crimes.

5. Rove & Cheney know so much about war & the enemy because why? |
|
Oh, yeah, they DON'T!
What's Rove say about Cheney? "He knows intimately ... blah, blah, blah ..."
Knows intimately about what?
When their nation said they needed them to fight in Viet Nam, they weren't against the war for moral reasons, those two no-nothing hawks were too chicken and disinterested to fight alongside their countrymen.
Yet, they tout intimate knowledge? Intimate is being right in the nitty-gritty of the hell of war. Intimate knowledge would be to guard against everything those two purport today.
They make me sick.

6. I couldn't stomach watching the video. But from the quote, he is admitting that torture |
|
was used as a punitive measure to discourage the recruitment of terrorists not for gaining intelligence.

8. But the anecdotal evidence shows that jihadis were recruited *because* of torture |
|
at Abu Ghraib and elsewhere. The local communities knew what was going on well before the media.

12. Understand, but my point was to show the hypocrisy of claiming torture was to obtain |
|
vital intelligence and here Rove admits that it is a tool to (in their pointy minds) keep terrorist recruitment down.

Rove is peddling here is: "To keep you safe, secrets must be kept. Keeping those secrets requires certain members of the political class to be legally unaccountable for their actions". If Rove and the rest of the Bush son of bitches are not prosecuted, the rule of law will have literally ceased to govern the actions of those who govern.

9. Can we just find a kinder, gentler form of torture? |

Perhaps a thousand points of laser lights?

10. Save your screw ball reasoning |
|
for the Hague, Rove.
Torture was one of the primary reasons Saddam Hussein was sentenced to a hanging by an Iraq jury.

14. What was good for Saddam |
|
is good enough for bush, cheney, rice, rove, gonzalez etc etc
A short rope to hang them until dead, on pay per view so we know it's been done right. Justice for war criminals is not too much to ask.

"Look at what they did to our people!
They won't do that anymore! The evil regime that sanctioned torture of our brothers is rejected and in trouble by their own people about the suffering of our people.
Now...let's go get'em!"
The Cheney and Rove show makes less sense than Telletubbies.
p.s. I love how Rove just admitted we did horrible things to detainees. Keep talkin' guys!
