The fact that the Bushies conspired to torture raises the subject of criminal prosecutions.
The fact, if it is a fact (and I believe it is) that it was used to elicit information, even false information and probably false information, that would justify the invasion of Iraq raises the prospect of a whole new set of crimes to prosecute. This is fraud. This proves that the Bushies were lying to start the war. They knew or should have known that information obtained from these methods was unreliable. If they had done any research into the use of these methods, the would have known that they were first used to to elicit confession from suspected witches and later used by totalitarian regimes to elicit propaganda statements from POWs or political dissidents.
