as soon as you interject rationalism, intelligence, sympathy, and personal experience into any faucet in the conservative ideology, the principle in question is immediately quelled ie;
-this currant economic state; proving regulation and oversight are needed as oppose to a "free" market approach

Throughout history the mentality that is known presently as "conservatism" has always chosen tradition over intelligence and has viewed intelligence as an "evil" counter to the "benevolent" tradition.
