1. I'm 100% with Rachel Maddow on this and always have been. WHO GIVES A DAMN whether it works or not? |

When anyone argues, as Keith Olbermann suggests, that torture shouldn't be used because it doesn't work, my response is "What if some new form of torture is developed that is so much more cruel, horrible, and excruciating that it DOES work? Would you then advocate use of this new form of torture?"
To argue that torture shouldn't be used because it doesn't work puts you on the same moral level as those who argue that it should be used because it does work. I have no patience with those on either side.

It is time we return the debate to a more civilized course. It is barbaric to even contemplate state sponsored torture, rape, and murder. It is beyond unconscionable the debate even exists imo. It is immoral on every level imaginable.
It's no different than 'debating' the 'merits' of serial killing. Any truly civilized people would be shocked the subject even came up in my opinion.
