1. Heartening to see that the Fox talking heads
gave their "seal of approval" to Rep. Kicinich by acknowledging his voting record.. A real "golly, gee whiz" moment.

2. Totally outgunned-two news personalities vs. a knowledgeable participant in the actual process
She let a "that's true" seep out there at the end

8. That's what's great about Dennis: He's a passionate, principled policy wonk
He never loses sight of his roots or his liberal ideals but can still go head to head with the coldest technocrat when it comes to facts and figures.

3. "But isn't that protectionism ?"
Some things are worth "protecting".
It IS a National Security issue.

Dennis Kucinich is one of the very few reasons I'm still a Democrat.
Damn Straight I'm a "Protectionist".

K&R for DK.

4. Why does he talk to idiots?
The FUX talking heads can't think. They just string together Republican talking points, long since discredited, like "free market good" and "regulation bad".

Conservatives and right wingers need to be treated like a 3 year-old in a car seat. Let them think that the steering wheel on their car seat is actually guiding the car and that the noises they make are real traffic noises, and they will be pacified without doing any damage.

6. I think it's great that he talks to idiots
We've got to find converts anywhere we can. The difference with Dennis is that he doesn't water down his message. He just delivers it to anyone who will listen.

5. Too short. Looks like an elf. Next!
Is there a politician out there who's been more right and more courageous more often than Dennis Kucinich?

7. Dennis is right again
Wall Street & Bankster are the ones going to make money selling GM's market share to Europe and China to employ their citizens while the US will end up paying welfare to previous auto workers without health care.

9. David Asman
keeps trying to make the point that government intervention is wrong and is the problem yet keeps complaining about corporations shipping capital and jobs overseas. Well yes it is wrong the way corporatists do it..giving money out with no oversight and allowing them to prop up their own mess. Dennis stays straight and is not confused by his double speak. I too wonder what is wrong with protecting your country from economic collapse by setting guidlines for these bailout bookies. It's like we're waiting for the rest of the world to give us their blessing to help ourself. Good job Senator Kucinich.

18. We had our chance to nominate him twice
he is probably one of the few real Democrats left ..At least if he was President he would not sell out to the banks and corporations and allow them to continue to run this country..

I couldn't believe they were actually arguing against the idea of taxpayer dollars going to help create AMERICAN jobs. What they hell are they thinking anyway?

without exposing their propaganda as the lies they are.

Good job Dennis, thank you.

19. "Because it backfires" - Oh really? Protectionism created the industrial giant that once was, moron.
Edited on Wed Jun-03-09 07:37 AM by Postman
The Smoot-Hawley tariff legislation, which increased taxes on some imported goods by a third to two-thirds to protect American industries, was signed into law on June 17, 1930, well into the Great Depression. In the following two years, international trade dropped from 6 percent of GNP to roughly 2 percent of GNP (between 1930 and 1932), but most of that was the result of the depression going worldwide, not Smoot-Hawley. The main result of Smoot-Hawley was that American businesses now had strong financial incentives to do business with other American companies, rather than bring in products made with cheaper foreign labor: Americans started trading with other Americans.

21. As much as I admire Dennis, I am deeply concerned that he is useless
in our Gov. & not a team player.

H.R. 1207, is a simple bill to audit the Federal Reserve & Dennis has NOT co-sponsored it. (182 YES, so far) Instead, Kucinich introduced his own bill & has stopped the momentum.

I'm going to see how this plays out, but if Dennie doesn't get behind H.R.1207, I am going to consider him a media only politician & a fraud.

Come on Dennis, join in with a group that is doing the right thing! ACTION is neeed, Going solo 100% is useless
