This is what we need right now. A well spoken, kick-ass nurse to lead the fight!
She makes a great point - Republicans will fight an underfunded public option just as much as single payer, so why not push for single payer?

2. That patients idea is excellent cos mostly they tend to hide from the results of their policies. >

You can't hide from constituents who are genuinely ill due to poor policy. That might be the key to turn this in the right direction. There's no where for them to hide this time most of America want this. I think there is still a fundamental goodness still to the Democratic party just needs a little tweek to the conscience.
