3. I've about had it with KO |
|
She was the topic for the first 15 goddamn minutes of the show!
When she started he absolutely not really talking I changed to PBS after a while I changed back and she's still yammering on, you betcha. Maybe willow (who names their kid willo???) Is gonna cath Letterman offgaurd and seduce him or what. The woman makes no sense whatever and has no sense.
And Keith devotes a quarter of his show to this idiot? Please just let her go back to Alaska already so she can be there in case Putin rears his ugly head over Willow.

9. This is the format of "Countdown"...WTF? |
|
KO plays parts of what the lying hypocrite neo-clown says, then calls bullsh*t on each lie/distortion. After that, he brings in a panelist who calls further B.S. on the lies/distortions.
So why should KO change his format for Sarah Palin? (Who, BTW, was only on for less than 9 minutes, nowhere near 15.) Unlike the other MSM idiots asking her softball questions, at least KO was slamming her hard for her stupidity and hypocrisy.
I'd be elated if other TV "news" outlets would do the same. It'd sure beat how the MSM props up botoxed boys and boob-jobbed girls who sit at their desks and merely tell us what these liars say, without offering a single instance of fact-checking. Then the liar usually ends up on Larry King Live, getting asked more inane questions because he's so ratings-hungry that he'd rather eat his own ear wax, than risk offending a guest or a viewer with a real question.
If it weren't for Keith Olbermann and Ed Schultz (with his segments like "Psycho Talk") going after these liars, we'd be back in 2001, where the MSM just parroted anything the Republicans told them to say.
And we saw where that led us.
If you don't like Sarah Palin, fine. Around here, we all hate her. But for God's sake, if we don't have people exposing her current crop of lies, she could very well use the Letterman incident to her advantage.

12. I didn't say that SHE was on for 15 minutes |
|
just that they dealt with the topic for 15 - actually, to be precise, it was 14 including the intro by the time he had finished with Wolfe.

15. Because it was THAT important to neutralize Palin's latest news-cycle-hogging nonsense. |
|
Keith is on patrol. He's going to make sure that EVERY time this woman or any other Republican idiot tries to use lies and distortions to raise money for a presidential campaign war chest for 2012, they get called on it but good.
And he's not just preaching to the choir, either. When I first started watching KO I considered myself an independent voter who just didn't like Bush's crapola and wanted an alternative to the Bush-praising Fixed Noise and the allegedly "neutral" other news sources in which various bimbos presented "both sides" of each story, usually letting the Bushies have the last word, and never applied any sort of fact-checking or analysis to what was said. I found KO to be a relatively fair (OK, he makes mistakes and goes overboard too, but that's only about 10% of the time) presenter of what's really going on, and a reliable deconstructer of conservative crap.
I can see what Palin's up to, and so can he. I thank him for explaining it all for others who possibly don't. It makes me feel better to know there's someone out there with a megaphone telling people the emperor has no clothes, instead of me just quietly sitting here boiling knowing that I know it, but is anyone else being informed of it?

I don't remember which DUer said it, but how come women in Alaska have to pay for their own rape kits? Hmm?

5. A Double Standard with Obama? |
|
Palin has a short memory:
This is what Obama said during the campaign: "Let me be as clear as possible, I think people's families are off-limits, and people's children are especially off-limits. This shouldn't be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin's performance as governor or her potential performance as a vice president." Obama said reporters should "back off these kinds of stories" and noted that he was born to an 18-year-old mother. "How a family deals with issues and teenage children, that shouldn't be the topic of our politics, and I hope that anybody who is supporting me understands that's off-limits."

that is the point exactly. She is the one who put them out there. Remember the picture of Bristol on the front of People Magazine holding her baby. It looked like it was a news piece ( I realize that its People) on the drain of teenage pregnancy among the poor and illiterate.

10. Does it seem to others that she's changing her image slightly |
|
She's still divorced from reality, but the new do replacing the bouffantish thing she had going on, and then it seems to me, she's lost some of that Minnesota accent that she seemed to do during the campaign and talked faster and in a somewhat more "coherent" manner.

I'm sorry, I can't agree with you on her being coherent. As someone else said here, she starts talking before she has any idea what she is going to say, and, I might add, has no problem with starting off in an entirely different direction at any point her peanut sized brain has the semblance of a thought.
