Many words, many speeches, but some will live on. Thank you Mr. Cronkite.

2. On November 22, 1988, on the A&E network ...
I was in college with the roomies and one with a love of old movies saw one he liked on that channel while flipping stations (I forgot what it was, but I getting into it). Suddenly, a "CBS Special Report" screen came on with the announcement that shots had been fired in Dallas at the Presidential motorcade!

A&E was broadcasting the CBS reports in it's entirety, in real time; you could see the clocks in the background and they were the same time. I got to experience what it was like, as this was a couple years before I was born. It was incredible.

3. I was about 4 months old at the time, but watch at 5:00 on....
and tell me this isn't the greatest news man who ever lived. Thank you for posting this. This is his finest moment, and I wanted to post it, but you beat me to the punch, and I'm very glad you did.

4. I won't forget either.
Thankful to Mr. Cronkite for showing class and dignity on such a tragic occasion.
