Healthcare reform is a hot-button issue these days, but few people are looking below the surfact. If they took a closer look, they'd realize that the pharmaceutical industry, which has been a staunch supporter of the GOP for decades, has all of a sudden started praising President Obama. Like most issues, if you just follow the money, you'll find out why they now love the president and the Democrats in Congress. Mike Papantonio of Air America's Ring of Fire talks about this relationship, which has turned healthcare reform into nothing more than a free ride for the pharmaceutical industry.

1. well well well
So, here's a clue. When all the usual groaners with multibillion dollar lobbies are suddenly absent from the political conversation, they're doing their best to remain invisible.

Generally being invisible is a sign of not wanting to be seen. But we knew this (some of us, who aren't swallowing this massive gimme hook line and sinker).

Listen up Obama. If your idea is really sound and really good, it will sell itself. You won't have to worry about cramming it down our throats with some false sense of urgency.

Make it right, make it work. You'll know it's working when current healthcare insurers and big pharma starts screaming at the top of their lungs.

That will be the clue that's missing right now.

4. "We (progressives) have the courage to say that something is
wrong when it is wrong". Well, some of us do. For others, blame shifting and denial is more important than the truth.
