The tone that Dobbs take with Roland Martin is absolutely insulting.

13. Condescending, yes, in almost a threatening way.
Dobbs is showing so much bias and just getting worse at his job. He lost lost all respect with many many people.

2. Lou Dobbs is a bloated smug wretch
I can't stand him. The Daily Show had a good clip where Dobb's stand-in debunked the birth nonsense, then Dobb's brings it back up after he returns.

3. I don't see the "Jim Crow tactics" here
I see a couple of wingnuts trying to defend the indefensable.

5. Obama is the President of the United States of America.
Poor Lou Dobbs the idiot just can't stand the FACT Obama is our Commander in Chief. The state of Hawaii has done everything to prove Obama is a US citizen. Are some people expecting some special treatment? If those in denial want Hawaii to change the laws and show everyone's birth certificate, then fine go that route. I agree with Roland does the Congressman have something better to do with his time like the War, Health Care, Crime, etc.? Dobbs has tried everything he could to instigate division instead of bring everyone together. Sad, Sad.

6. All their support the president out the window his certificate valid since day 1 for driving ...

enrolling and becoming a US Senator. They had no issue with his status till a person of African American background ran for president. It's so blatant and shameful I don't get how they aren't glowing red. President Obama needs to start and ad campaign highlighting how his birth certificate has been validated all his life so let's validate patriotism by working to repair a nation back to its feet to walk and run again.

7. Dobbs is an old guy on his way out.
I used to watch him regularly but I found him to be an old RW guy trying to wear an Independent disguise. I rarely watch him but did last night. He does seem to be a little racist these days. I really feel he has a great deal of animosity for President Obama.

After watching his show last night,I found myself going to my locked box and looking up my birth certificate. I was born in the USA.
Well, my birth certificate which I used to get my car license on, get married, get a passport DOES NOT SHOW my parent's names, doctor, or hospital, just the town, county and state and date I was born. It has the official seal and was always accepted at the border for both countries.

I had to laugh. I wrote Lou Dobbs. It is the first time I ever wrote him and asked him if thought I wasn't born in America since my birth certificate is similar to President Obama's. I don't expect a reply.

I also wrote my brother, Bubba, who loves Hannity and O'Reilly and has sent me those "WHERE IS THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE OF OBAMA" emails. He is a lot like Lou Dobbs, as my brother hates immigrants.
I asked asked my brother if he thought I was American since my birth certificate doesn't have the doctor or hospital on it. He has not responded.

I really feel more Canadian than American now since I have been up here for 40 years. I will never go back to live in the USA. I love my one payer health care system where my son and husband both were treated for cancer with the best of care. I didn't get bankrupt from all the treatment in fighting the brain tumor and Non-Hodgkin s's disease they died of. There were no medical bills. NADA. I am a widow, retired, have my own home all paid for. two vehicles (older)
my taxes are about 21 percent of my income. When I am 65 I will pay 2 bucks for each drug prescription. The saying around here is you can tell a Canadian senior from an American senior - we are happier. We don't worry about medical bills. Also BTW, we were never rich. Just middle income people. I worked for a telephone company and my hubby worked on the railroad. There is a good quality of life up here in Canada. You know what they say, if you don't have your health, money doesn't mean a thing. The first sign of ill health I am at my doctor's clinic. I get preventative health care. I get an annual physical. It is wonderful to walk in to see the doctor and walk out without having a bill.

8. Welcome to DU
Lou Dobbs has changed.

My daughter is dating a Canadian citizen and although I am in no rush to see her married, her having dual citizenship would not be a bad thing.

9. Subject is getting over blown
You have Israeli warships on maneuvers , near Iran & Russia is expanding it's naval base in Syria . Gaza is prison & denied wood & steel by Israel . The FEDERAL Reserve is getting away with financial servitude of the people & there's NO discussion on CNN what so ever on why the FED should be AUDITED .Obama makes idiotic statements like he hopes CEOs "will be shamed "by taking bonuses and if not he'll push for them disclosing to stock holders , like that will change a damn thing .

And what does CNN do , the same old tired hyping of Race , and of course according to them , Latinos , Asians and Islanders are never victims of racism ,its the same group , over and over and over again .

On Sunday , CNN ran SIX news stories in a ROW , dealing with black people . SIX ! In addition to this "black in America " for the 2nd time . I don't know what their agenda is , divide and conquer , designed distraction from more important issues , but its really getting fkn ridiculous and turning into a circus . But when it comes to certain black victims , they are totally MUTE , I.E. Cynthia McKinney being abducted by Israeli gun ships, didn't seem to qualify as a news story , they completely CENSORED the story , in addition to the U.S. waging war on Somalia , YAH , they are doing air strikes and killing civilians there TOO with their Ethiopian proxy army , pillaging Somalia , accused of killing & raping Somalian civilians .

CNN " news " has really perverted news , by all these selective " discussions" , arguments , one trick pony stories like Jackson all day , it's appalling that people except this garbage .... but they use twitter , so lets get excited .

11. great post!!! people don't want the 'adult' stories mixed in with this aggravating stuff, and by
'people', I don't necessarily mean DUers, I mean "Americans" as a whole - they want more fluff and easier to gripe about stuff... Talking about warfare and suffering is annoying to us.... ;(

12. Good for Roland....
he wasn't about to back down and let these right wing nut cases walk all over him. Dobbs can play that "independent" role all he want's but he in the end that's all it is, an act.

I just looked at my official (not a copy but the official thing) birth certificate and it does not say the name of the doctor nor the hospital, so Dobbs couldn't be more WRONG.
