5. A great man!

I continue to be amazed at what I am seeing in comedy. I know this was not his routine. BUT, I have spent many years sounding just like him. And I was depressed. I called myself negative. I thought no one wanted to hear my pessimism. And here he is, brilliantly saying those exact same things.

I used to live in a house with several guys. At night we sat around the kitchen table, drinking, and telling jokes, and commiserating. And we laughed our guts sore each night. I long for those days. I guess when you get older, things start to weigh heavier. I guess that's why we get old in the first place.

But it's a great feeling to know there are so many wonderful people on this planet. Not all Night of the Living Cheneys. But Vonneguts and Carlins.
