6. Towards the End, Potter describes how he became conscious

His story about finally waking up and seeing the results of what his job had done to many people over the years is similar to many people who finally realize how connected all life is to one another.

I went through the same sort of situation in the Software Industry, and turned away from profit and self centered existance to more of a stewardship of the Earth. Living a life based on Honesty and Ethics is much more rewarding than selling your soul, your dreams, and the inherent wisdom we have for a paycheck or material possessions.

When you labor for the good of the Earth, whether is be your backyard, 20 acres, or a tract of land, the energy that you put into it will return in miraculous ways. Wendell Potter has gained consciousness, and is only a small number of people that are doing so every day.

We are out here, and most of those who have recently awoken don't have their voice yet, as they may feel uneasy about the dramatic shift it makes in their own lives. It can be quite disturbing to wake up without the worries and repressed guilts incurred by their actions in their previous, unconscious journey through life.

For those that have gained a higher level of consciouness, do not be swayed by the millions of disturbed souls struggling against the contradictions prenet in their daily lives. They will do their best to try and diminish your consciousness at every turn, out of jealously or fear that they have not been able to wake up out of the nightmare and insignificance of their own lives.

You'll see them here on DU, and in the rest of the world. Don't let their neurosis bring you down. They are powerless, yet vocal, but it's only words, big talk and puffery meant to diminish your energy.
