Damon Weaver finally got his interview with President Obama!

Damon Weaver is the 11-year-old from Florida (Kathryn E. Cunningham/Canal Point Elementary) that interviewed Joe Biden last year and has been trying his darnest to get into the White House to interview President Obama.
Congrats Damon!

1. That young man is a true reporter.
I hope there are many like him coming up. We sorely lack them in our own.

9. I could
Can't you see Dubya patting the boy on the head, rubbing it? Making up one of those nicknames that shows how much he regards the other person, like "peanut-head" or "Day-my-man"? Can't you see him losing his train of thought while trying to answer, only to have an aide whisper something to him? Can't you see him getting bored two minutes into the photo op and cutting it short, leaving Damon to do an interview with Barney? I wouldn't want to see Damon interview Bumblehead, but I know exactly what it would be like.

4. "Joe Biden is now my Homeboy"

I recall crying and laughing at the same time when he said that.

10. What an impressive young man. He obviously put a lot of thought
into his questions, and kudos to Obama for treating him in the professional manner he deserved. I can just imagine Bush talking down to this kid if he were in the same situation.

Damon, your family, teachers, and schoolmates must be very proud of you!
