Remember Martin Eisenstadt? He was the McCain advisor who claimed that Sarah Palin didn't know where Africa was right after the election last year. MSNBC broke the story, but it turns out the whole thing was an elaborate hoax. The New York Times did a story that it was really two guys in California who orchestrated the whole thing. I guess Martin Eisenstadt got a book deal just like Palin! Anyway, this video promo for the book is pretty funny. Anyone know if this book is even real or not?

2. Just because it's on Amazon, is that real?
Just because it's on Amazon, does that make it real? Remember, these were the guys who fooled David Shuster on MSNBC. One of the commenters on the YT page notes that the book he holds up is just a cardboard cut-out. Just wondering, that's all.

3. Sarah Palin really did not know Africa is a continent.
Mirvish and Gorlin claimed to be the source of the Sarah-Palin-doesn't-know-Africa-is-a-continent story after the story broke.

4. ...true, she didn't know Africa was a continent
...and I think the clip in this video is from when she tacitly admitted not knowing it, a couple days PRIOR to the Eisenstadt claim. The media got it all muddled up.

Meanwhile, this came out the other day from Galleycat (part of Mediabistro), which says book author is imaginary, but not clear if book itself is (I wonder if they were hedging):
Galleycat-Mediabistro story
