Rep. Cummings has it right.
The Republican plan wants us to die quickly. Unfortunately many are dying slowly do to lack of health care.

1. This is great & needs to be said, more Dems need to come out & say it. Less the lying republicans
Edited on Thu Oct-01-09 01:45 PM by GreenTea
can just focus on Grayson to attack and scream unfair, trying to get media sympathy & an apology from Grayson!!!

More Democrats need to speak up like Grayson and expose the republicans trying desperately to keep the insurance corporations profits and status quo, by doing nothing and trying to stop the Dems efforts for health care reform with a public option!

2. It's called rhetoric, you morons.
Just because it hasn't been used against the GOP in 50 years doesn't mean it can't be. Good for Grayson.

3. Rep Cummings did a fine job
The Democratic Party needs to get behind Grayson or at least clarify its message. Grayson has given the public option a shot in the arm vis a vis air time and visibility.

A few points pushed by the neo-con sping machine that should not be allowed to pass:
That statements made by Grayson and Joe Wilson's outburst were entirely different on a number of levels
That Grayson had his facts right - 44,000 +++ Americans are dieing each year for lack of proper health care

5. Buchanan tries to make it sound like it is wrong for POLITICIANS to issue

Pre-meditated statements.

WTF? What planet is he on? Don't most Politicans get up and use "Pre-meditated" statement?

Grayson used a pre-meditated statement - he wasn't using pre-meditated MURDER.

It is the insurers that are pre-meditating our murders -every time they deny someone converage for pre-existing conditions, every time they renege on offering services to soemone who is insured. They are all pre-meditated mruderers, and anyone who ahs seen Sicko knows that.

And some of us know it from personal experience as well.

6. I like how she interrupts him mid-sentence 'oh come on oh come on oh come on'
or whatever she dribbles repeatedly, saying "don't tell me you approve of his comments!"

#1 - Wilson SHOUTED IN ANGER at the PRESIDENT who HAD the floor, and was giving a SPEECH
#2 - Grayson had the floor and used an intellectually charged slap in the face to the Republicans in Congress who have no plan but the status-quo

DAMN people, start saying this in interviews!!!

7. I;m disappointed he didn't back Grayson.
That's all they want to focus on, so we need to all have Grayson's back!

Of all people who I would have expected to strongly stand up for Grayson, it's Cummings. :(

8. FARK. Will someone please get up and say these simple words: (Repeat after me)
"The public option is ALIVE in the Senate. Five bills have come out of conference, and four of those contain a public option. Only the Sentae Finance Committee bill does not include a public option. The Senate Democrats OVERWHELMINGLY SUPPORT a public option."

Why is it SO god damned hard to get this concept? A three year old can understand that 4 is more than 1, why are the media talking heads less intelligent than a three year old?

And by the way, if the qualifications for being a well paid political commentator are so low, can I get a job application?
