2. Red-baiting joke Faux, the hyper-Reaganites from CNBC, Wolf Blitzer . . . the usual suspects, I see. |
|
See . . . this is why I think Michael Moore should have titled his film Corporatism: a Love Story, because really, that's what this IS all about. Yet that would require thought on the part of potential viewers, and unfortunately, he threw bones to the "either this or that, nothing in-between" schmucks at these PR arms of the Corptocracy by using the word "Capitalism" instead. This only opens him up to "TEH RED MENACE" that the droolers ridiculously cling to and accusations of hypocrisy from . . . just about everyone, including centrist DUers.
One COULD argue that the amorality of capitalism itself could inevitably produce the zero-sum result were seeing as we speak prior to vaulting into the greed-mongering ruthlessness and destruction of Corporatism, as its exploitative nature combined with the inherent greed of humans (some obviously having more than others) ultimately leads to corporatism at it's ugliest. Do we accept profit or profiteering, and should there be an adequate safety net for those that DO lose, and for which class of people? So far, the only ones getting bailed out are, by and large, the wealthiest, and that's the same "built-from-the-top-down" fallacy these idiots keep pushing.
As it is now, what we have in place just does not work. How these jerkoff anchors can laughably think this crapcake of horridity that is disaster corporatism needs to be given more time and it's markets "more freedom" is beyond me completely. How they can stupefyingly sit there and deny the troublesome trend of small businesses failing and closing, entire towns getting boarded up, plants leaving for cheaper shores, wages not keeping up with the cost of living and college degrees getting devalued by the month absolutely defies description.
Then again, it's probably not that hard to believe at all. Because . . . "they got theirs".

3. It would be FOX, the cable news of no substance, with a history of smears and deceptions. |
|
How many Dem... oops, Republicans because they always kept mistaking those criminals as such, can be wrong...
I'll wait for other media outlets to criticize and even then I have to see the film before judging the film. The clip I did see, complete with the audio soundtrack, was used to incite emotions. That's not a documentary. That's entertainment. A silver screen version of a "reality show".

18. You should see it.... |
|
it is always good to look at information that is usually hidden. I can't wait to see it again. I missed a lot of it the first time, it provoked so much thought. What is going on in this world we live in is what provokes the reactions and the emotions from watching the film. Moore is not that good of a propagandist.

6. The media disregards substance? |
|
I'm shocked! Shocked, I tell you! :sarcasm:
Seriously, did any of you expect anything different from the mainstream media?
Thankfully, they are completely discredited in the minds of many out there, especially in younger generations. After all, more younger people get their news from TDS as opposed to the networks or cable news channels.

7. My belief now especially almost a year into the Obama administration............... |
|
.............is we now have reached what I call the "Modern Fascist State". Just look at what power the large corporations (banks, insurance, PHRMA, etc) have over the government. Obama, as we all now know, is a 'corporatist", or as I refer to him "the black Clinton". It appears that he will go down the same "soft fascist" road of Bill Clinton's policies. The right wing isn't too far from the truth calling this "socialism", it is, JUST NATIONAL SOCIALISM.

8. Take one step back and look behind what they are doing - blatant orchestration |
|
from above. The only question is does this come from Rove and a team, a specific right wing think tank, RNC, OR DO THESE SEVEN REPUBLICAN CORPORATE TV NETWORKS HAVE A 24-7 team of their employees sitting with a team of representatives from the Heritage Foundation, AIPAC, and all the organizations who become the the guest experts on the screen?
This is what we get when the seven corporate networks are blatantly Republican.
It is a Republican game. Dems are invited under pretense of a two party system and to roast. Any Dem appearing is fodder for the haters. This is what corporations pay for by their advertising and support.
They must work hard to maintain their 27% faithful. Unfortunately, too many in the other percentile still believe in these Republican networks.
Even Michael Moore and other brave people have to sit on the sacrificial rock because they still want to reach the other percentile and they still do play along with the pretense.
This is America-U.S. Seven networks. All seven are Republican Corporate Military Religious Finance machines. Hide, attack, lie, sway, omit, permit, orchestrate. They are at the core of the reality games and dangerous magic.

21. Couldn't have said it better |
|
Not to mention the CIA, who are also corporate whores. They have had their hands, and eyes and ears, in all the major networks from way back. I remember a documentary I saw of the news networks back in the 80's where a government 'adviser' had to sit in on all the final edit decisions in the ABC board room, Peter Jennings was there as well. This character nixed a description of a peace protest in Nicaragua which is what it was, and told them they had to change the description to an "anti-contra demonstration" which sounds much more violent.
Michael Moore is fighting such an uphill battle, but he's doing it bravely. And...gasp....he's making a living at it. If I hear one more asshat complaining that MM makes a profit on his life work I'm going to puke.
I wrote to MM last year and begged him to do a doc on the MSM and their utter lack of credibility. I truly hope he tackles this topic one day. Maybe he does in this film to a degree. Looking forward to seeing it.

Reminds me of that televised coliseum some alien society had constructed on an episode of Star Trek, except that instead of hauling in prisoners and slaves it's even more delicious for the audience if the intended victims of the MSM think they're participating in this virtual arena as peers.
Granted, Grayson don't play that game.

on "corporate" networks have been very positive and allowed him to speak and present his point of view. a CBS show canceled an interview after he complained about "permalancer" (longterm freelancers with no benefits) at another network, but otherwise he's been able to speak his mind. These are just cherry picked clips from Fox noise, business channel, and blitzer. One can not make assumptions about how the film is being reviewed and critiqued based on this narrow sampling.

to confirm his sincerity and his will to make a better America. Job done I'd say. It'll make him a far richer man in the long run to make such a positive contribution. The main way to change wall street is a veto proof progressive majority, blue dog free voila. No judgment call on the Prez but policy more on the peoples terms, Presidents approval must stay healthy to get the job done.
If out there Moore funding head on radio network would be an awesome start.

Anne Coulter and Rush Limbaugh have some wealth because of book sales. Someone paid for their books.
Someone made money on the ABC movie about Flight 93.
We 'certain people' paid to watch the truth on essential issues we face - labor, guns, health, and now, the way we are being squeezed (to the death of our country) by capitalism gone wrong because of right wing congress, media, military, intelligence, banking/reserve systems, foreigh dictator support, churches and temples, think tanks, baron foundations and their century old plan for them.

Why don't they ever ask the anti-government Senators, Governors and other politicians. If you hate government so much, and consider government to be THE problem and not the solution. Why are you in the Government? That's a fair question.

19. "Moore benefits from capitalism. He is therefore a hypocrite." According to that logic... |
|
Boris Yeltsin was a hypocrite. Imre Nagy was a hypocrite. Alexander Dubcek was a hypocrite.
Apparently, if you succeed under a regime, you forfeit your right to criticize it. At the same time, if you don't succeed under that regime, you can't criticize it either, because that would mean you're simply an envious, sore loser.
