8. Welcome to DU, but Shep needs to stay put |
|
MSNBC isn't even available on basic cable and I think fnc should at least have one half-way sane voice on their network.

3. You gotta love how republicans run on a platform of Govt inefficiency |
|
They tell people 'Govt is bad' and 'you can't trust the Govt' then turn around and expect people to vote for them into Govt.....Riiiight. Guilty conscience?

13. Well, it certainly explains the results. |

If someone doesn't believe that the government is capable of doing good, then they're going to abuse the system if/when they are put in charge.

I am paraphrasing...but at approx. 5:00 Steele pretty much summed up the Republicans position.
"It is a flawed system ,to the extent that it has a human element to it."
I believe he just outed his parties position on this matter.

kicked in the ass when he is unceremoniously dumped when the off year elections go badly for the GOP.

20. Sorry? Nah- first come, first served. |

One of the things I've learned here is to scan through the comments before I post- that way if someone's already said what I want to say, I don't look like an idiot by duplicating it.
Welcome to DU by the way.

12. Wow, Shep Smith nailed him right out of the gate! |
|
"To a public option?" ... "Actually, the polls show that the American people want a public option."
Suh-lap! Steele set Shep up well, there.

18. His answer about helping the poor that now use emergency rooms |
|
Should have been called out.
He says they could use some type of expanded medicade.....Uh Michael, isn't that a government run program?
What's the big leap from that to the government providing a public option to ALL those that can't get or afford a private plan? The GOP talk in circles. One minute they say America has the best system in the world, and the next they say they understand there is a problem and they want to fix it .... just not right now.
And his reaction to the 70% public option support polls is ridiculous. I've got some land....
Steele is embarrassingly exposing himself each day more and more as a sleezy Uncle Tom shill for big business and his old white money masters.

Michael Steele is the Republican party's lawn jockey.
(I have some potentially offensive photoshops on this subject: debated posting them- decided against it)
