As long as the troops are willing to pose in the background, behind the Prez, for publicity shots, the Repubs are all for them. That's their idea of supporting the troops - empty rhetoric and waving the flag here at home. When it comes to actually dealing with the troops on a personal basis, be it for armored humvees or better healthcare, then they ignore them.

In an interview shortly after the Pontiff's death he was being interviewed and quickly pointed out how he and the Pope held the same position on abortion.

When the interviewer pointed out that the late-Pope disagreed with Domenici, and most republikkans, on capital punishment and the War in Iraq, Domenici snapped (something to the effect of) "I didn't come here to discuss the differences between the Pope and myself."

Kirk is (unfortunately) my representative. He's a hypocritical Bush apologist who needs to be replaced. He claims he's a "moderate" & "independent" but he votes straight along party lines -- unless he has permission from Rover to do otherwise. In the 110th Session, he has voted 76% with the republic party.

Please help us get rid of this goon. Dan Seals is running against him again in '08. He is someone who can truly represent our district.
