DU in particular and the popularity of blogs and the www in general proves that, but i do agree that traditional institutions of dissemination are definitely going away.
though, it is interesting contemplating the fragmentation argument/concern... and it is scary when you tune into some of the highly branded and crafted outlets out there, that are popular and appealing (apparently) to a large audience e.g. Faux News, Rush, newsmax, etc. but i also see huge opprotunities for new, competeing ideas to be heard, and potentially popular, too.
that is my great hope :bounce:
