at most--not a sustained character assassination.

at the time, whenevewr a reporter brought it up, he should have said (mock sheepishly): "Yeah, that Does look a bit funny, but then I'm not a varsity cheerleader like president bush was in college. Hey, why don't YOU show me how to do that cheer right?"

he was talking about. And he stayed with it and saw it through in 2006. Oh, I am SO glad we got rid of that do-nothing Terry McAuliffe and got the Dr./Gov. to take charge of our party. Thank heaven for Howard Dean. I hope he had a good scream again yesterday and today!

thank you doctor Dean. We stopped shorting places like my 'red' state - where the democratic party gained 3 seats. Where suddenly some democratic 'super stars' started coming to the state, rather than writing us off. We now will have a democratic majority among our house representatives - both in our state delegation, and in the overall house. While it was not Dean's vision and message alone that did it... it certainly was a significant contributing factor. This video sure sounds different in 06 than it did in 04

Even when they played it with the crowd noise practically silenced I didn't understand what the big deal was.

Looking back at the political full court press they put on Howard Dean from the get go, makes me wonder if the right actually saw him as the greatest threat in that race. The one with the most likely chance of defeating Bush becuase he wouldn't just sit back and take it, but come back swinging.
