1. That Bill O'Reilly is such a bore. |
|
It started out funny. I never watch O'Reilly, so I had forgotten what a hostile prick he is.

Did you notice how the interview was cut? His interview was heavily edited and it shows.

That's in both parts. 20-22 clumsy amateurish cuts in less than 12 minutes.

That butt head can refer to John Stewart's audience anyway he wants. Fact is, bor's audience are either geriatric fearful sheep, or red neck bigots. I'll even concede there are a few just downright ignorant butt heads like himself that tune in as well.

how utterly demeaning.

and clever throughout the whole interview. Not at all successfully. Jon Stewart is the best! I love his humanity and think everyone can learn alot from his interview style and approach.

8. O'Really knows he is a mental peewee next to Stewart. |
|
The cuts are to make an attempt to bring him to near equal ground.
But it was an utter failure. O'Really came across as the smug, ignorant prick that he really is.

|
And for the record I continue to be inspired by Jon and his crew of brilliant brilliant crew.
And also for the record, I don't think my dad has even been drunk before. And definitely not stoned.

10. Stoned Slackers who love Obama? |
|
How about a large portion of the populace who has gotten wise to the fact that you can get more pure truth from a comedian than from any of the "legitimate" News Sources. If I want to be well informed about politics in Washington, I'll watch Stewart and Colbert. If I want to know the latest with Brad and Angelina, or what Octo-mom is up too, I'll watch CNN.

I saw Ann Coultergeist and Kimberly Guilfoyle attack "New Fox News Correspondent" Joe Trippi in that same demeaning and condescending manner last weekend on Geraldo at Large. O'Leilly couldn't polish Jon Stewart's boots.

|
Edited on Wed Feb-03-10 11:59 PM by billancourt
i don't know if some have noticed that o'reilly has ever so slightly toned down his rhetoric in the past week. i stress " ever so slightly". fox has been "done" twice in the last two days, once for cutting off the tongue lashing that the president gave to john, "i can't seem to say democratic" boehner,(whose seething racial hatred for the prez is oh so evident)and the simpletons at the "lunch". The second time was of course the interview with John Stewart. Superlative, even after editing out all they could, O'Reilly still got dressed down and he was simply at a loss when trying to counter Stewart's articulate jabs. Ratings whores cannot argue constructively and should not invite people like Stewart, it's counter-productive for their cause. It's a bittersweet statement of the political landscape in America, when it's the Daily Show that gives the most objective views and the Fox News propaganda organization is considered trusted. The difference between HeeHaw and Fox News is that while sharing the same audience demographics, HeeHaw did not promote hate. when beck has no more sponsors and the hannity o'reilly infighting takes it's toll on fox, joined with mr obama's re-election, perhaps ailes will reconsider and change the agenda.

Probably No Script is blocking it, and I'm not disabling it on THAT website.
Thankfully the whole thing has been uploaded to the bit torrent sites, so it's out there if you want to look for it.

|
And that's absurd. I haven't touched pot in years (I don't like the way it makes me feel and besides, I'm a nurse and they can drug test me any old time. I'm highly educated and I believe I get better news from Stewart than I've gotten from CNN in years and well, Faux "News" is just that, false and not news.

26. The one thing I wish Stewart would've said in response to O'Reilly's comment: |
|
Paraphrased-"Come on, Stewart, saying my viewers don't know my show is an opinion show is like saying your viewers don't know your show is a comedy show." I wish Stewart would've replied, "You just proved my point: MY show is on 'Comedy Central.' YOUR show is part of 'Fox NEWS.' How does that say yours is opinion?"

It was Jon's way of complimenting Obama on not being a semi-dictator like Bush. But of course it went all over O'Reilly's head.
