I shook Ed Sanders' hand about 15 years ago and told him their first two albums "warped me forever", and thanked him for that.... Coincidentally, I posted Kill For Peace on mix's anti-war songs thread in the lounge yesterday.
Anyone remember who wrote the liner notes for the second album ? ( which I believe is one of the most underrated rock and/or roll albums EVER)

6. I was gonna add that to my post--hid that album from my parents too

Virgin Forest; the creation, evolution and end of the world in 11 minutes. And after that whole album of wild, in your face defiance of all that was held to be proper and decent circa 1966, the final word of that album is "amen" ( Death Stay Thy Phantoms: "death death death death ...baby")
