2. First of all, Jeff Cohen is either lying or uninformed

Survey taken spring of 2008 shows that only 32% of all Americans consider themselves to be Democrats.

Only 28% consider themselves to be Republicans.

But the majority that is, some 40% want a canddiate who will do what is right for the people.

this "2 or 3% are progressives" that Cohen states like it is the truth is just one Big Fib!

3. I didn't think that's what he said...

I thought he said people like Nader only get 2% or 3% of the vote.

I don't believe for a minute he's lying. Why would he? He's a supporter of progressive movements and backs Kucinich, Sanders and Dean.

8. I think it's amusing how the pols and pundits..

watch in awe at the rise in "independents". They are mostly just a reflection of the fact that, when asked their party affiliation, republicans are too embarrassed to call themselves republicans, so they answer "independent". So Obama and company are mostly wasting their time trying to woo these people...
