1. Just when you think free speech

doesn't include yelling 'FIRE', in a crowded theater. Are the terms liable and slander mythological?

What about sedition? Is that a meaningless word as well?

10. You are right on. The famous quote is from Schenck vs, US 1919

Oliver Wendell Holmes. "The most stringent protection of free speech would not protect a man falsely shouting fire in a theater and causing a panic. <...> The question in every case is whether the words used are used in such circumstances and are of such a nature as to create a clear and present danger that they will bring about the substantive evils that Congress has a right to prevent."

This was about distributing flyers critical of the government. But in a later case Brandeis and Holmes said the government had gone too far because they prosecuted "puny" people instead of those who presented a "clear and present" danger to America. They lost.

Are Bachman and her ilk a clear and present danger to America? Well I can tell ya they sure are keeping our President's bullet proof suit tailor workin' hard. And ohhhh they look good.

This is from memory, but I believe Bill's response after the murder of Dr. Tiller was;

"So, what are you all pointing the finger at me for inciting this murder? I did nothing of the sort and I can prove it. It's really the pro abortion liberals that murdered him."

Or some such very outlandish statement like that? I recall video and written compilations on DU that show Bill to be simply lying through his teeth again. My point is that he took absolutely no responsibility what so ever in inciting it from his shows in the first place.

So Cenk is so right to keep this in the forefront. Really makes you wonder what Bachmann's reaction would be if Obama did get assassinated?

Hopefully Cenk keeping all this murderous hate speech will resonate with all the people responsible for keeping our President safe and keep them on the ball?
