These guys are the best at getting candid responses from people who are completely nuts. As they mention in their blog, these attendees are much more affluent than the ones at the 9/12 gathering, but they don't seem to have anything on them in intellect.

Enjoy!

1. Awesome.
K & R. I'm sharing this with Cenk when he gets in, especially the part when they praise Bush and talk about how you don't need to be intelligent to be president!

I've been waiting for these guys to do another video since the Palin book signing interviews last year.

4. What did they say in the video?
I was too busy gouging my eardrums out with a rusty spork as soon as it started.

7. That's a good point.
One would assume that if you are involved and support a cause, you actually KNOW something about it. These people are a reminder that that's not the case.

9. If you ever wondered exactly why the rest of the world hated Bush so much..
this is it. Because he belongs to this crowd. A religious nutjob with absolutely no understanding of other countries and other cultures making desisions that affects our lives on an almost daily basis.

What exactly are these people talking about "embracing the constitution", when at the same time they are talking about christian principles that the US was founded on? A lot of the founders where atheists! Have they ever read the first amendment?

And not to mention the census, which they seem to hate. It's mandated by the constitution and has been going on since what, 1790?

The rest of the world sees people like this casting votes in US elections completely oblivious as to what their vote means for both themselves and the rest of the world. I know it's a harsh thing to say to you guys on here, but people get the politicians they deserve.

Unfortunatly, when Americans elect theirs we get them too. And we have enough dealing with our own idiots.

10. Well said. It's funny how people like this blasted
the left for their seeming idolatry of Obama, and yet, they just love that Palin! I hadn't heard that we were no longer using the constitutional mandate on how to go about electing a president. We should do something about that. Next time, let's do whatever it is the Constitution said we should do!

I'm seeing a lot of negative comments about this video, but I think it's hilarious. Almost as if the interviewees are thinking, "now what is the stupidest thing I could say?"

Not when they are lied to and elections are stolen.

Besides, America has never had to go thru centuries of absolute rulers like many other countries. We have no collective memory of it.... except when we got rid of it.

And lastly... there are stupid people everywhere on the planet.

I like this line from a play I costumed once.

Wealthy Southern Grand Dame: Darlin', fix me a gin and tonic. It's already dark under the porch.

11. I truly believe most Tea baggers were born on 9/11.
The average bagger seems to be the type of person who never thought much about Politics or History before they turned on their radios for news after 9/11. What they got from their radios was a plethora of right wing blow hards. The future Baggers, without many ideas of their own, took on the world views of the wing nut propagandists. It really shows in their speech; you can literally hear them repeat exact quotes from Glenn Beck, Limbaugh and others. They are well versed on the talking points, but understand little of what they are talking about. :banghead:

12. True. It's obvious from the responses that most of
them can't really discuss their opinions. Thank goodness they have Faux News to do their thinking for them.

18. I truly believe most Tea baggers were born on 9/11.
More like born yesterday.

They seem to me to be very selfish in a singular way. They would ruin the country to have things their way. All that matters is how things effect them personally.

Lookit. Gay Marriage is about fulfilling a promise of the pursuit of happiness and all men created equal with inalienable rights. That kinda stuff.... even though it's also personal. But Teabaggers are about not paying taxes because all those services the government supplies them and they love are free....right? Who's stopping them from carrying their guns? Who's stopping them from speaking out? Who exactly is oppressing them? All I can see is that they don't want to pay for things we all use: roads, police, fire departments... food inspection, bridges, Where do they think these things come from? They just want someone else to pay for their life style.

22. That's true.
I always want someone to ask - does it piss you off to ride down a road the government built, or eat food the FDA inspected? You have to be ignorant to blindly support a party that can't offer any solutions outside of .... duuuh .... lower taxes. That couldn't be the solution to everything, could it?

26. True true, how true. So many of the teabaggers are well over
50 years old; what in hell have they been paying attention to all of these years? Certainly not politics involving the Constitution. Must be people who ceased to educate themselves past leaving the 8th grade, consequently sheep who are easily led by fear mongers and self interested bounders.

15. Besides the comic relief...
The video does show that when it is time to put their money where their mouths are, they collectively are bankrupt. Thus while some businesses may support Palin, she is going to need a whole lot more than the teabaggers.

I think the interviewer is excellent at exposing their idiocy without them realizing it. This thread deserves a lot more recs because of that.

21. Thanks, Turborama
That has been my interest in seeing more from New Left Media. I've never seen anyone do a better job at that. I know I couldn't; if it were me with the microphone, I'd just stand there and laugh my ass off.

Funny but scary to think there are actual breathing functioning people that really think this way!

25. Oh, yeah, I caught that too.
When the lady called O'Reilly a "benchmark for credibility", he almost lost it. I like the guy who complained that they're unfairly criticized for not having any diversity, then admitting that they don't!

23. Corporate media downplayed the craziness, tried to pretend Oily Taters and followers weren't there
when they weren't promoting this sparsely-attended event as much as possible (Netroots Nation got 5 times the attendance and was ignored)
and even Ariana is trying to act like these nuts are really just a bunch of mainstream, concerned citizens
