Insurance premium rate hikes by Anthem kicks off President Obama's weekly address. Calling out companies by name, the President points to outrageous premium hikes from health insurance companies already making massive profits as further proof of the need for reform. Looking ahead to the coming bipartisan meeting on reform, the President urges members of Congress to come to the table in good faith to address the issue.

2. so go around the insurance companies that cause the problem.

medicare exists. drop the enrollment age to zero and increase funding. without borrowing.

i have a couple ideas how to pay for it.

end the wars / interventionism
legalize and tax marijuana
a one percent national sales tax

those three policy changes would bring in a lot of revenue. probably even enough to gear up infrastructure projects and put people back to work.
