1. Sounds like he's giving nominal support to the bill

which is a far cry from his Jane Hamster Kill the Bill tripe from months ago.

2. It's going to do some good at the cost of insurmountable bad.

The Healthcare problem in America is simply for-profit-insurers.

We do have the best equipment

Best training facilities

World-class practitioners

World-class hospitals

World-class proximity of the sick to the locations of service.

But unlike the entire industrialized world, we have for-profit insurance sucking 20% off the top, requiring excess expenditures on paperwork and application of payments, putting bureaucrats between the sick and their treatment with real financial incentive to deny necessary treatment, and diverting money from our healthcare to bribe Congress.

Its not enough, but its better than nothing.

we should not give up the fight for a public option, but it is hard to rationalize choosing to kill the bill over passing it without the public option.
