Looks like they could just let dems pass a supposedly unpopular bill that most americans according to them oppose anyway, get the majority in November and repeal the bill next year. the answer to this gives you an insight into the true motives of the republican party.
Go here:

Under Historical tables, Table 7.1 is the US Gov Debt. Look at Gross Federal Debt as a % of GDP because that's what shows how federal debt changed with the size of the economy under the budget of every president starting with FDR:

Unemployment is also interesting, it even lets you plot month to month numbers. Check out for instance the early 80s:

1. Rasmussen never asked me shit..
Do they only ask 1000 or 2000 repugs ? or do they delete votes to slant to the right ?
Millions of americans didn't get ask, fair and balanced polls ? I think not.

5. u have a great show btw!

The Kraut does make some sense in his own way: liberal programs like social security and medicare/medicaid tend to turn out very popular and "unrepealable". Of course if social security was the cause of the "crushing debt" and not WW2 spending it doesn't make sense that the National Debt stopped growing after WW2. Social Security was still around, how come the National Debt was decreasing as %GDP?! So the republican propaganda about "fiscal responsibility" is just a naked lie since Ronald Reagan.
