Simple FACT: Israel is building settlements in EAST Jerusalem. That territory was seized by Israel in the 6 Day War. Nobody but Israel believes that is Israeli territory. The UN, international law and the USA all agree that East Jerusalem is NOT a part of Israel.

When shithead says that "Israel is being asked to give up territory" he is lying. Israel's LEGAL territory is limited to its pre-1967 borders. They are giving up nothing. They are required to recognize that they have no claim to territory they ILLEGALLY seized in 1967. Ergo, Israel is building settlements in territory that is not Israel. It is the equivalent of Mexico building settlements in Texas.

Why didn't Dylan or Cenk point that out?

Creating a shambles and calling it policy

Sure, America's Middle East policy is a shambles. America's standing is much lower now than when Obama came into office. The Iraq war is winding down, with no certainty at all how that country will go. Afghanistan is a mess, but then, Alexander the Great couldn't do much with it either, so that's no surprise. And Israel – not wanting America to be bored with only one and a half wars – evidently is trying to help by encouraging us into war with Iran, to spare them the cost of attacking it. Such a friend!

Cink gave away his position by not announcing loud and clear that Israel has been stealing Arab lands for decades and is bull-dozing Arab settlements while decimating the ancient people of their lands; Driving them our and not allowing them to return. If there is any give, it would be for lands already stolen by brute force. A trade for that stolen land, to make a "fair" border, now chopped to hell by Israel, while it moves the goal post further and further away from its legal landowners, is, at least, a slight move toward peace.

Ratigan appears to me to be searching for the truth, but is still on a sharp learning curve. Yes I got mad when he didn't yell at the liar, instead of backing him. Obvious lies cannot be tolerated by any journalist, but those are so rare as to be extinct these days. If they need a lesson in journalism all that is needed is to watch Olbermann or Maddow, who never lets a lie waft around the room before swatting it dead in its tracks.
