her chances against Bachmann. And I despise Bachmann.

although Bachmann's is thicker. Bachmann's voice is a million times more annoying though. There is also the whole 'personification of evil' thing that Bachmann has.

It would be a stake in the heart of the right wing talking points. How's she doing in the initial polls?

She seemed a little uncomfortable in her speech, but there was some passion there. And she'll get better in her delivery.

of course, it may be too early to get a good read. However, she has received a jump in donations to her campaign. Bachmann has more money, but a lot of that is carry-over from the last cycle.

I think in about a week we can start getting some realistic feedback, polls are notoriously off at this stage, the district is heavily R, so if there is any sign of closeness at all, say +/- 15 points, I think Bachmann will go down.

Personally, I think Bachmann is history; but the reality is, it's up to MN's 6th District.
