April 28, 2010 — "The irony of their populist movement against the bailout and the banks and all that -- here's my question and if anybody in the control room, if you have some tape, you can roll it -- show me one Tea Party demonstration that's taken place on Wall Street or in front of a local bank or any financial institution. If they're really so upset about that, why aren't they demonstrating there? Instead what they're doing, they're running around with placards of Obama with a Hitler mustache on him. It's a nutty, nutty movement. Here's what I'd like to see. I'm gonna check this out, too. On Thursday of this week, a bunch of unions across the country have called for a massive rally and march on Wall Street. On this Thursday afternoon, they're going to meet at City Hall Park and then they're going to march down to Wall Street. I'd like to see if that gets as much attention as the six hundred, twelve hundred people Tea Party gatherings have received around the country." -- Michael Moore on Larry King Live, Tuesday, April 26th, 2010

2. The bailourts were not the problem after all for the TeaBaggers.
Just an excuse to show their hatred for anything and anyone
who does not share their hatred.

11. Movements have to do more than get their hate on
Successful movements (Civil Rights, Women's Rights) have to have positive agendas. They have to stand for more than "MY MONEY! MY GUNS!"

Michael Moore is right. The Tea Baggers have gotten way too much media attention.

13. You hit it right on the head.
True movements arise out of the necessity to fight for rights, freedom and fair treatment. The Tea Baggers have lost nothing (except maybe an election). They have their rights. They have their freedoms. And, aside from their big money promoters, most of them are paying less taxes.

6. How much media attention
will the Wall Street protest garner as compared to a handful of well armed psychopaths on the banks of the Potomac? The media creates false impressions all the time. We don't get news. We get propaganda on the TV, just like Orwell described in "1984."

7. Moore - one of TOO FEW voices
speaking truths. Wish I weren't a continent away, or I'd join that march! :grr:

8. will they get attention... sure, negative attention
because one thing the rich hate, are workers demanding a fair living wage. THIS IS A POPULIST MOVEMENT, the tea baggers are a bunch of mislead dummies who vote republican and despise liberals as well as democrats in general. It's nothing but a GOP manufactured front.

18. Actually, They Really Hate Money That Doesn't Buy Stuff.
When you think about it, the Rich have got a really crappy deal.

They have no clue how to build much, and are committed to paying other people to do things. While this system has worked well for centuries, the allure of fiat money is losing it's appeal. When the rich have to shovel more money at people to do the same thing they've done for 15 years, the Rich Get Pissed.

Well, now that I've posted the secret on how to turn the Rich into quivering piles of Jelly, I guess we are all saved...

Without calling the current economy a sham, which it is, the people are rightly pissed, and the teaparty is just a distraction.

Yeah, that's right, Larry.

Of course you wouldn't know, and of course that would lead you into a commercial.

You're a fucking joke, Larry, but that's okay, MM will take the message anywhere it's gonna get traction) ... between commercial breaks)

17. Michael should
call for a national solidarity protest from people all over the nation. Most of us can not get to D.C.

19. Heavens to Haymarket ! ! ! !
Sounds good to me! I have long envisioned a commercial featuring thousands of workers marching on Wall Street, and stringing up well dressed investors wearing expensive suits and black over-the-head hoods. The camera peers in on a bunch of union guys hanging another capitalist from a lamp post. The narrator then says: "Even after the revolution, we'll still measure success, one investor at a time!"
