Thgis struck me funny, though I deplore the idea that violence is in any way an appropriate response to current events (or whatever fictional events may be portrayed in the movie).

Thius is, after all, a civil rights issue. Have we forgotten the example of the Rev. Martin Luther King?

The violence in these kinds of movies is purposefully over-the-top and comedic. I don't think anyone would take this as an example of how the world should be. If it was supposed to be that, it couldn't exist, because Robert Rodriguez is an artist and not a criminal, so we know where his priorities lie.
