Not that he isn't credible, but he seems to be the only one with this theory right now.

That said, Senator Nelson (FL) stated today that he is directing (non-specific) the overseeing of independent researchers getting down there to tell us what is truly going on. (Little too late?)

know of Matt Simmons through all that I've read on Peak Oil. He is quite smart in that department and sounds like he knows what he's talking about here.

I didn't mean to question his credentials - and I can certainly see how it reads that way.

I am just hoping that someone else steps forward with the same assertion (or better yet, photo evidence!) before he becomes marginalized and his voice disappears from the airwaves on this.
