The trailer for the upcoming "The Tillman Story" documentary, about the mysterious death of Pat Tillman, has appeared online.
Plot: Pat Tillman never thought of himself as a hero. His choice to leave a multimillion-dollar football contract and join the military wasn't done for any reason other than he felt it was the right thing to do. The fact that the military manipulated his tragic death in the line of duty into a propaganda tool is unfathomable and thoroughly explored in this riveting and enraging documentary. The new documentary is directed by Amir Bar-Lev (My Kid Could Paint That) and has already appeared at the Sundance Film Festival. The Weinstein Company has already acquired it for domestic distribution...

4. I have googled, but I can't find the cast names only the names of the production staff.

Seems like the cast names are under wraps ??

5. It is a documentary so I think everyone plays themselves. You

hold the credits in the last few seconds of this trailor and it gives the names of the photographers etc. but no actors.

I hope Rumsfeld's role in this is exposed thoroughly. I can't wait to see it, as this story has haunted me ever since I first heard of it.

Also, the only reason we got the truth about Tillman's death was because he was well known and his family never quit.

I wonder how many cover-ups they got away with because the dead were not as well known as Pat Tillman.

6. "All the Generals were lying"

I remember those hearings. To watch Rumsfeld and his Generals squirm as they tried to excuse their actions, one after the other, was eye-opening. Not so much for those of us who never believed all the other lies, but for those who realized for the first time how willing the government is to lie even about war, or a dead soldier, to the American people.

I hope this documentary gets wide circulation. They 'lied to the wrong family'. The Tillman family could have gone along with the story and accepted the phony accolades. Some families would have, but they were honest people and did not want their son used as a prop for politicians.

7. There's nothing honorable about the military or

the men that run it. The entire MIC is a racket and they're the only American's with job security
great salaries and benefits. The military IS the new middle class and it's the civilians that are
expendable.

I admire the Tilman's for not allowing the truth to be covered up and exposing it for all to see.
There are many that would have chosen glorification and the hero worship of their family member
over the truth.

What happened to Pat and how his family were treated is an outrage. More people need to know this.
