...that I saw him in on MTV back in the 1980s. Back then, I would consume anything I could see of my favorite "alternative" bands that never got enough air play on the FM-mainstream. I thought their production was captivating. The proletarian visions of "Pipeline". Some of my friends noted their dark songs as "Depress Mode". Forebearers of the Smiths. (note: I was an atheist then and now, if you want some perspective).

It seems this is not the original video, and a fellow DUer pointed out this is a old song DM is covering.

The alleged author of the remade video states in video comments that it took 2-3 months to make this, I am not surprised, it is very creative.

That was a great video. Depeche Mode certainly had a catchy and moving style to them. It was nice to hear them again.

11. It's hard to believe how powerless we were to Bush.

What we need to take from this is how to prevent this from happening again.

What made these six years so painful for us was having to simply watch this nightmare unfold, while powerless to do anything about it. It was either violence or intelligence. And the former was prohibited. So we used the latter, and many people suffered in the meanwhile.
