4. Jesus said he died for our sins |
|
It would have been a better world if he'd never existed. Sorry if I'm insulting the Christians on DU, but I'm allowed to speak my piece. His followers have been responsible for war after war after war. From Constantine to the Iraq War. The Crusades. 700 years of bloodshed in Europe. Nazi Germany. It just goes on and on. I get a big kick out of all these Christians who moan about them being persecuted from the times of Nero to now. Hello, asshats! Historically, your biggest persecutors have been other Christians. I'm the only non-believer in a huge family of Catholics and I'm immune to getting slugged by believers, so have at it. I've got God on my side (my pet rock).

5. Of the course the Jew did not kill Jesus |
|
Jesus was Jewish. However how I understand it the Pharisees, the Jewish leaders of Roman occupied Israel, wanted Jesus dead for blasphemous. They convicted Jesus of that but then had to hand Jesus to Pontius Pilate because only the Roman government could execute people. But what Beck is saying goes completely against Christan doctrine. It does not mater who killed Jesus it was what he did.

A believer in a religion only discovered 150 years or so ago. He has no problem going against orthodox Christian belief.
