1. i hope some journalists break this down |
|
i'm sure there's tons of people that don't know how exactly 180 degrees false this comparison is. Glenn Beck stands for everything MLK fought against, and MLK stands for everything Glenn Beck is railing against every night. Social justice anyone?
It would be a shame to let Beck get away with this.

|
They will jump on the bandwagon and act like they just discovered it was going on once they get afraid that it is getting out of hand or at the meetup..

10. I hate to hear you did what I did... |
|
However, here is a bit more to rock your stomach...Glenn Beck claimed a couple weeks ago that Roger Ailse played a major role in the Civil Rights Struggle!!
The Right Wing is trying to high jack MLK & the Civil Rights Struggle knowing they were & still are very much against it!

12. He is only doing this to deflect valid claims of racism. |
|
MLK is the epitome of "social justice" in the churches. Its not difficult to figure out that Beck is a lying sack of horse manure. The only requirement is that you must have enough intelligence to actually look for information elsewhere.

14. I know! Beck is truly a very disgusting person! |
|
To say the things he does and then turn around and act as if he is some kind of racial saint here to do the work of MLK is insulting...And that is exactly why he does it!

3. Glenn Beck is seriously mentally ill. |
|
I'm not saying that in some insulting way, I'm saying that in a factual way. I - of all people - would never make light of mental illness. I truly believe he needs help, desperately.

5. Was MLK an addict? Did he do drugs and booze? Did he start out as |
|
a DJ on radio? Did MLK drop out ?
If MLK did all this, I missed that part of his biography.
I wonder when Glenn Beck went to the mountain. Did he see the "promised land" for all minorities and downtrodden? Did Glenn Beck conduct civil rights demonstrations, write books, did Glenn get a degree in theology? Did Glenn meet with the President's Attorney General, as King did, regarding full integration and equal rights and federal support for desegregation, for all Americans?
If Glenn did all this, I missed it.

6. Did what in the first place? |
|
Edited on Mon Aug-02-10 05:55 PM by Moostache
Said "get in the back of the bus"? Yup....conservatives were certainly all over that one first.
Said "turn the hoses on and let loose the dogs"? Yup....conservatives said that first too.
Said "segregation today, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever"? Yup...first again Glenn, you and your conservative brethren are batting 1.000!
How about being the first to publicly call the first African-American President a racist? Yup...that honor goes to Glenn too!
What I seriously want to see, what I would travel to the national mall to bear witness to, is a good old water-boarding of Beck with his own induced tears.

13. Mock Beck if you will, but at least he remembers MLK was a white, conservative, hate monger that |
|
warned us against social justice and empathy! When Beck and I think about the Reverend, we think - war-loving, stirrer of violence, who only wanted to become as rich as possible, no matter who got hurt.
Thanks, Beck! I got your back.
