This is the first in a new series of animated Action Figure videos, POLITICAL ANIMALS, I'll be doing with President Obama as the central figure.
I'm annoyed by the Right's Attack on the President over the planned Islamic Center near ground zero, but sometimes the best thing you can do in these situations is to laugh at them (the Right, that is.)

1. Witty... very witty

Why is this mosque/centre a national issue? In my area, we hold community meetings if a new building is proposed and if the neighborhood says no, the enterprisers either have to make a compromise proposal and hold another meeting for consensus or build somewhere else. Seems to me it's up to lower Manhattan, not us. Just sayin'.

2. Why?

Nerves are still raw in New York about Ground Zero, and rather than trying to work out some common ground on this issue, the Right is throwing gasoline onto the fire. Short term political gain that could cost a lot of American lives in the future -- not to mention undoing a lot of the work that's been done to try and keep people from joining the radical Islamic movement.
