2. Fuck Glenn Beck?
He's not my type. Even if I were gay, he wouldn't be my type.

I get the point. Yes, tea party revelers are racists (well, a lot of them are, any way) and Beck has done more than his share of playing the race card. But Beck, like Father Coughlan before him, will be an obscure footnote to the history of our time. Martin Luther King is a man for the ages.

Today's rally in Washington is disgusting to the extreme, but it is not worth the hype it's received. Rather than invest any emotional capital in hating this little man and insignificant thinker, I prefer to just get a head start forgetting about Mr. Beck. Sic semper Sophists.

4. Not really
It was just the middle sentence in his comments. First he said whites don't own washington and jefferson, then the MLK line, then that they are all American icons. What his point is, I don't know. But that is what he said.

6. But Beck has said that 'they are taking back the civil rights movement'
the civil rights movement in the USA never belonged to him or to the white folks.
The whole point was to get EQUAL RIGHTS for African-Americans - the same rights that the white folks exclusively enjoyed back in those days.

The GOP'ers are trying to rewrite history - don't let 'em!!!
