In his weekly radio and Internet address, president Barack Obama on Saturday outlined what he's done to help the middle class, a group he says has been squeezed the most during the recession. (Sept. 4)

1. "We didn't become a prosperous nation by rewarding greed and recklessness"

So... President Obama, why have you been rewarding greed and recklessness by surrounding yourself with the captains of greed and recklessness?? To me, leadership means not just stating the obvious in a speech, but also going to the mat for the principals you outline in that speech. Your approach seems more like bribing your wrestling "opponent" in hopes that the bell will sound before either of you strains a muscle... and the rest of your teammates won't notice a thing.

Did anybody notice anything?

2. Please provide a list of these "captains of greed and recklessness"

6. Yes. Please name the crooks. Better yet, indict them.

That's the job of your Attorney General. As president, you may not be able to meddle in the details of cases, but you could set the general direction for the Justice Department. They should be spending less time on petty crooks and more on the crimes on Wall Street. Local police can take care of the lesser crimes.

Another wonderful speech -- wonderfully idealistic and even more wonderfully vague. He does not mention one single concrete measure he is going to take to help Main Street in any really meaningful way. It is as usual with Obama lots of hot air and no follow through.

The only way the Obama is going to get anywhere is to fire his current staff and replace it with people with fresh ideas.

3. So, Mr. President... Come To The Rally On October 2nd!! It Would Really

make YOU LOOK GOOD!! Show us you REALLY care and are willing to STAND UP at the Rally! I KNOW it would be a "ground-breaking" situation, but it WOULD be FANTASTIC to see you!

And there's even a bigger PLUS for you and Democrats!! You show up, or at least have someone BIG in the administration, and it will go a VERY LONG WAY in helping Democrats getting re-elected!! Yeah, those of us who are feeling left out, might just want to BELIEVE AGAIN!!

For me, I'm NOT seeing all that much "heart" for "we the people!" I'm a Democrat, but a Democrat that has lived my WHOLE LIFE as one! But unfortunately, I'm one of "the base" and more to the left! You know, the ones that Rahm has a BIG problem with! Not to mention dear old Gibbs!!

The whole system is just fucked. Corporations hold grudges, hence their huge record profits and lack of hiring.
