It is a multicultural community center with prayer space for many beliefs...in addition to gym, swimming pool, art gallery, restaurant.

the BS on the story is that the damn thing is nowhere near Ground Zero. I heard 12 blocks... in NYC walk 12 blocks any direction and ask someone where you are.. no one will say ground zero.

It is basiclly right by the north side of ground zero. Also the choice of words for calling it a ground zero mosque is deliberate. Actions like this are attempts to re-contextualize the meaning of the word and place, to subvert the term away from the meaning that has been infused into it by the mainstream media.
