2. He is one of the rich. |

This is the man who said that 98% of the electorate had health insurance, and that he would only represent them. He did not think it was his duty to represent all the people in his constituency. In other words, the government of this country serves the rich and upper middle-class only. It is not a government of, by, or for the impoverished. This is Mr. Bay's view and that of many, many others.

Are these people who are doing the "hiring" using their PERSONAL income to hire more than a few maids and gardeners?
Who falls for this crap?
When is some higher-up Dem gonna spell it out clearly for all to hear?...
"WE'VE HAD 30 YEARS OF SUPPLY SIDE ECONOMICS, AND LOOK WHERE WE ARE NOW." Period.
If it's so bad now that we don't have time to be fair.... then raise the uber-rich's taxes to 50%, not 39.6%.

5. Another way to create hiring is to spend spend spend and consume. |
|
That is what makes our economy go round.
The question isn't if they will lay off their maids but if they will cut back in spending.

No. They will continue to spend spend spend....in Europe, like they do now.
Get a clue.... after wealthy people pay their taxes (and after they DID pay them when Clinton put the rate at 39.6%....which it will go back to) ... after they pay their Clinton era taxes...THEY'RE STILL RICH!.

I went to two Obama rallies during the election, and when I think of the way Bayh introduced Obama, and hugged him, and smiled in his face, and patted him on the back, I just shake my head. :wtf:

11. Yes, because we've seen how well those Bush tax cuts have stimulated the economy. |

Isn't the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over, but expecting different results?
Hey Evan! The concentration of wealth is the highest it's been since the Great Depression. You heard of the Great Depression, haven't you? Do you know what the implications of high concentration of wealth are? It means the middle class is disappearing. Put more money in the pockets of the richest 5% and you'll get nothing but more concentration of wealth. They already have the means to buy new homes, cars, or other capital purchases. More money for them just encourages more speculative investing, creating the bubbles that are hampering the economy today. It also creates the next generation of spoiled brats who never have to worry about stretching a paycheck to the next one; what to do if a catastrophic illness strikes their family; how to pay for their children's education, among other things.
