4. My congresstool Tom Davis was confronted by some angry liberals..

recently. Give the guy credit, he was invited to come speak before a liberal antiwar unitarian church group, and he showed up. Tommy desperately wants John Warner's Senate seat. They really gave him hell. The whole time he hemmed and hawed and stared at the ceiling, or the floor. An Iraq war veteran raked him over the coals for being a Bushbot, and he just sat like a stupid rube staring down at his shoes.

He literally had to knock some chairs out of the way and beat a hasty retreat in the end. Things are getting kinda tough in the hood for these guys.

I'm no fan of John Warner's, but I respect his old-guard reverence to the seat he holds. Tom Davis is part of the new breed of putting party loyalty above the good of the country at any cost, & I'm glad to hear that he got the treatment he deserved at the antiwar rally.

From Milbank's blog on it. Milbank makes a big deal that the church where the debate was held has a sign that says "liberal and welcoming" but that the crowd wasn't very welcoming. Like warmongering, morality deprived power seekers should be treated deferentially.
