Seems to be a good organization. Freedom of speech is highly important and certainly should be so on Campus.

1. THis is a right-wing, pro-hate speech fronting as a free speech defender. Very bad history of
supporting hatred under the guise of defense of the constitution.

Actually libertarian with bagger tendencies.

3. Are you sure you want to be handing out your post-it labels so soon?

A while back there was a leading professor of paleoanthropology who gave a lecture arguing that the rise of man as we now understand man was the result of linguistic changes only several tens of thousands of years ago and that is why earlier man did not produce spaceships and so forth and he was basically shouted down by students who felt he was being "racist" against Australopithecus, Neanderthal and so forth.

There are some pretty stupid excuses for shutting people up and they can exist on both sides of the political divide. Why should universities be a venue for censorship?

4. He is the usual slightly tubby, full-cheeked, Little-Lord-Flauntleroy
conservative. It's funny. Seems that conservatives can be spotted not only by a typical physical prototype but also by certain speech mannerisms -- that he displays the moment he opens his mouth.

Still, I agree with his stand on most of the examples of free speech violations. It can get really bad at universities. My husband taught in university programs. Students would report professors for what they said. One of my husband's colleagues was reported by a student who was later sent back to her native country because she was mentally ill -- but my husband's colleague still had to defend himself against the girl's false accusation of offensive speech.

Full professors have due process rights, but adjunct faculty may not. It depends.

Limiting free speech rights on college campuses regardless of the reason defeats the purpose of the university.

2. Poor college republicans. Got a case of diaper rash over not being able to call people fags.
