HEY!! I'm a compulsive voter too!!! Ever since I was old enough!! I started when I was young because others were doing it and I thought it made me look cool, like the other kids. It was only a little vote (Sewer Bonds) but before I knew it I was desperately researching everyy issue!!. Later, I found I couldn't pass a voting booth without running into it.
Ive tried Compulsive Voters Anonymous (CVA) but gave up believing in a Higher Power God the 2d time Bush was elected.
And now--its terrible!! Not a day goes by I don't read political blogs. Everytime I pas the county courthouse I want to run in and tell them what to do. I even check boxes on junkmail just to do it!
Oh God, Help me before I vote again!!

Years ago, the first science fiction con I went to had Jonathan Frakes (Commander Riker of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" in the audience. He patiently explained to an audience of about 1500 people that he could tell us some stuff, but certain plot developments he was honor-bound not to tell.

Twice behind me, there was a teenage kid who asked about one of the forbidden topics. The secodn time, he said, "I know you said you couldn't tell us, but could you just tell me?" The entire audience booed.

"You'd better be nice to me," he sputtered, "'cause one day I might be writing your scripts!"

I immediately turned down and repeated my favorite phrase from "Animaniacs" - "IN YOUR DREAMS, pal!" The nudnik finally sat down.

That guy was the kind of fanboy that makes all of us look bad. And the anthrax bomber was exactly that kind of guy.

By the way, no one has yet commented on something Olbermann said: none of the victims blabbed about these envelopes during the investigation, but the New York Daily News, the Murdock operation, a part of his right-wing news operation, DID. The News deliberately interfered with an FBI operation, for the sake of assaulting a liberal. Isn't that kind of significant?
