Americans all over the country are gathering to say
"Enough!" Every Sunday at noon. Enough war, lies,
corruption, spying, torturing, and incompetent cronyism. Watch
the vid and find out how you can join us!

1. Great Video..Kick'd & Rec'd!!
We've been ENOUGH!ing here in Kokomo since just after the 4th of July..from week to week the #'s of participants have gone up & down..usually depending on the weather, hot & muggy days along w/ the rainy ones the #'s drop to 4 or 5 of us...On great days like last Sunday we'll have about a dozen or so...I could post all night about some of the stuff that's happened to us..it's really been fun and worthwhile...I urge everyone to join or start your own.. if you can't get out of the house, for whatever reason...just go down to the end of your driveway and hold up an ENOUGH! sign every Sunday from noon to 1pm..make up a yard sign...do what you can...it doesn't cost anything, but an hour of your time!! to me, that's a bargain...plus it's been easier to get to sleep @ night..knowing that when I lay my head down on my pillow that I'm @ least trying to put a stop to this madness!!

7. Thanks to Kokomo!
I too am feeling a lot better just hearing all the honks of agreement and support. We got one counter-demonstrator who has a huge sign of Howard Dean strangling a cat. Too bad that was Bill Frist, the Dr who can diagnose brain injury by ESP. Anyway, no one passing by even noticed him. It is really fun! Are you guys taking pictures? Be sure to keep them coming because there are some awesome signs and images coming out of this. Linda in San Diego :yourock:

4. FINALLY......take to the streets NOW...this Sunday!!
Finally someone of influence has thrown down the gauntlet..and now it's up to US to get out there and make a scene. Doesn't have to be roudy, doesn't have to be violent at all. Just has to be something besides hiding behind our damned computers, bitching and complaining.

8. Get the word out please!
I so agree with your comment. Every Sunday I return home feeling s little better hearing all the honks of agreement. I won't say how I feel about wondering why those same people can't take the time to join us but I feel we are bringing it to their attention that yes dissent is alive and well and in YOUR community. That's the difference between this and going to a huge rally in DC. We need both though. Anyway, be sure to take lots of pics and post them on the link in the first message. Linda in San Diego:toast:

10. I love seeing so many non-young people in the demonstrations
I wasn't old enough to remember the anti-Vietnam war protests themselves, but in pictures they seem to be populated mostly by people in their 20s or maybe early 30s.

It's lovely to see how the "Enough" demonstrations--and all the peace/anti-war demonstrations that have been held in the past five years--are so representative of the entire population.

12. Does This Mean The REVOLUTION Has FINALLY Begun????
I've been saying this for OVER TWO YEARS now, and unfortunately I've become a VERY cynical person. In a land that was founded on the premise of Democracy, we have been HIJACKED by the "Most Evil" of mankind!!!

Here in America I see NO America, at least not one I can recognize! How I wish I could get to D.C. on 9/15/07, but now my budget has been stretched too far to fit any extra costs without putting it on a credit card! And I DON'T want to run up a balance over $1,000.00... that's my limit for now. We The People have been forgotten and I've done something that I never thought I would. I've just stopped trying! I've stopped writing letters, signing petitions, making phone calls, joining organizations, basically stopped being involved. Something, as a Boomer I NEVER thought I would do. I check in here and others blogs to see what's going on, but for the most part I've lost ALL faith in what can be done!

I don't care where, how or when, but I will stand up for IMPEACHMENT now! These people MUST go and I don't care how it gets done or the consequences it may have. It MUST be done!

But, until I see the REAL MOVEMENT in action I no longer feel anything I DO is of any help. Where I live, a crowd of people amounts to about 10 total most of the time! Very depressing and I've been waiting and waiting for people in power to join us in the fight to take our country back! The lackluster attempts by a few here or there have been such a disappointment and most of our leaders have faded into the wallpaper!

Hope is NOT word I use anymore so maybe more people have reached their limits and have FINALLY figured out a few things. We shall see!

Thanks for the post anyway!

13. Don't give up
I can't tell you how many times I have felt the way you do. I have seriously considered leaving the country because I don't want to be part of a truly imperial empire. It's not just a metaphor. Please don't give up... The idea of this movement is to let people in their home communities know that dissent is alive and patriotic. Even if there are just 10 of you you are doing the right thing. What area are you in? I am in a very red part of town in San Diego, but amazingly there are people here who actually care about the criminal Bush takeover of our country. Don't give up on yourself even though our leaders (including Dem's) seem to be political deer in the headlight. Also, remember all those demonstrators in Africa and Latin America that, when they go out for a cause , they are truly risking their lives. Linda in San Diego

14. First, Welcome To DU Or Maybe You've Just Now Decided To Make
some noise. Regardless, I thank you for the "buck up" sentiment. I too have thought about actually leaving the country several times. Costa Rica was an option I thought about. But it's actually impossible to leave for various family reasons. As you can see, this is a late reply because frankly there are times I can't stand even checking the latest "event" or "stunt" that has surfaced because of what has been done to this country.

The APATHY is overwhelmingly unreal to me as I see people out and about as if there's not a thing to worry about. You are correct that even 10 people together means something, but I not only live in Florida, I live in THE COUNTY that Cruella The Witch (Katherine Harris) decided she would represent for 2 terms, BEFORE she decided she was good enough to run for Senate. I was forced to vote for THAT Senator, Bill Nelson out of FEAR that she might just do yet ANOTHER fraud job and have herself anointed just as The Idiot has each time he snatched the election for himself.

As to Bill Nelson, I really don't like him and I'm not even sure he's really a Democrat. When Bob Graham was a Senator he stuck to him like glue, so now that he's the Senior Senator here, it's all down hill for those of us who really want our country back! People say you NEED to write and call your Senators and Representatives, but it doesn't make any difference here. Nelson never listens, and I think there may have been 1 or 2 Democrats elected in this County in the 25 years I've lived here, or maybe not! I thought Christine Jennings won the last election and we fought back hard, but it did NOTHING! And SHE used to be a Repuke and switched. She wasn't my first choice, but many Democrats decided to back her because they thought she had a better chance. The election still hasn't been completely settled, but she's getting ready for her 2nd run in 08!

Truth be told, it wears you out and that's exactly what they want to do. I KNOW it and don't like it but I just don't know HOW to come to grips with the insanity that never seems to stop! The Decider doesn't give a tinker's damn and I think he actually gloats about it. Only recently have I started saying how very much I HATE him and the others. I NEVER have used that word when talking about other people, but that's what it's done to me!

I say I don't care, but I really do because I keep coming back for more abuse all the time, even knowing that words AREN'T going to do ANYTHING! And it is going to get worse because OUR supposed leaders can't UNIFY long enough to say ENOUGH themselves! I understand they don't have the votes in the Senate, but why don't they just FIGHT back again and again and again? They are going to go down in flames themselves if they don't get something done.

Oh well, didn't mean to rant so long, thanks again for your input... I have no answers and my questions NEVER get answered. I'm a junkie, but one that just needs to step out of it for a while. Blogging helps a little, but it's only words and it seems nobody is listening to us.
